Jeffrey Weingart serves as Senior Vice President of Origination at Avatar Financial Group LLC (Avatar), operating out of Boston, MA. His primary responsibilities involve the origination and underwriting of commercial real estate loans, as well as new business development and expanding the firm’s national platform. He brings more than two decades worth of commercial real estate finance experience to Avatar.

Jeffrey has originated over $1.2 billion of closed bridge and permanent CRE loans and underwritten over $6 billion of completed transactions on behalf of a variety of capital sources. In addition to financing, he has developed significant expertise in asset management, property operations and investment banking. He is well-versed in handling a range of risk profiles, from distressed and transitional assets to development and stabilized projects, across the entire spectrum of real estate asset classes.

Before joining Avatar, Jeffrey was Senior Vice President of Originations and Underwriting for A10 Capital, a national provider of direct capital solutions. He has held similar senior-level positions handling originations for The Bancorp, a specialized lender, and UC Funds, a national balance sheet lender. A graduate of Babson College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Jeffrey holds certificates in Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Finance from Boston University.
