Alex Cruz serves as Director Originations at Avatar Financial Group LLC (Avatar), where his primary responsibilities are the origination and underwriting of commercial real estate loans from coast to coast, new business development, and expanding the firm’s national bridge lending platform. Operating out of Los Angeles, CA, Cruz is a seasoned originator with more than 24 years' experience in the Mortgage Industry. His most recent position was as Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for NuBridge Commercial Lending, a national commercial small balance bridge lender. Prior to NuBridge, Cruz was a RSM for Cherrywood Mortgage Commercial Lending, responsible for managing production for the Western U.S. and was credited with increasing volume for both companies over a ten-year span. He was intrinsically involved with developing wholesale relationships for these seven states.

Cruz’s residential lending background includes positions with ResMae Mortgage Company and Long Beach Mortgage Company, where he excelled in loan production and was the recipient of many production awards.
