State Information
With just under five-hundred thousand residents, Wyoming is the least populous state in the country. Major industries include farming, mining, oil and natural gas. The state probably gets its name from the Delaware Indian word meaning “large plains.”
The first state to give women the right to vote, the stat’s motto is “Equality Rights.” It became a state on July 10, 1890.
