State Information

The state considered to be the first in the U.S. to receive rays of morning sun, Maine is unique in many ways. For one, it is the only U.S. state to share a border with just one other state (New Hampshire), and it is the only U.S. state whose name contains just one syllable.

Maine produces potatoes, blueberries maple syrup and paper, wood and pulp products. The state’s lobsters are also famous. Its name, a source of many puns, refers to the “mainland”.
